Do you love it as much as it does? What do you know about cats and their habits? A healthy cat is quickly used to the place where it will have to live. It knows where its toilet is. And though it wants to mark the place where it lives very much, it won't do so either in the hallway or in rooms or near its favourite chairs or in the kitchen. It respects its owners, understands and feels them. Having eaten its food carefully from its dishes, it will go to its toilet only, to the tray, which had been carefully cleaned by you. And will sharpen its claws on a specially prepared piece of wood or fabric.

And if a cat is ill or you are doing something wrong from its point of view then, you must show more involvement and attention to your little friend. Perhaps watching it, you'll understand the reasons for its "strange" behaviour. For example, check if it has fallen ill.
