Cats-doctors

Today treatment by animals has become the world's officially recognized science. A series of studies have been held which prove how important may be the presence of an animal in the house for a person. Researchers have found that after just a month from the moment of appearing a cat or dog in the house, the owners noted a significant improvement of their state. Those who keep animals at home have lower blood pressure, lower cholesterol levels in the blood and, consequently, are less predisposed to a heart attack. U.S. scientists have found that pet owners often survive after heart attacks.

Doctors believe that when a man is next to some small, fluffy animal the pressure is reduced and depression is removed.

Curative effects of animals can be different, depending on a person and situation. For example, cat can relieve hypertensive patients. A cat relieves old granny from loneliness because caring for a weaker creature gives her life meaning. But animals do not help everyone. The result will be positive only if a person has emotional predisposition to animals.

Many doctors believe that pets can bring much more benefit to older people than pills. The owners of animals demonstrate better social adaptation, less loneliness and suffering from depression and, in general, less frequently complain of poor health.

Whether a man needs a cat or a dog depends on likings. If he/she lacks independence and the ability to live alone, a cat will be his/her psychological support with its independent character.

For people with certain psychological problems animals can become the main source of emotional support. People who can't be frank by their nature, demonstrate love or make friends, often give their unfulfilled emotions to pets.

Whether we indulge our pets or depend on them, few would argue that living beings next to us bring us enormous benefits.
